Warren County Animal Control and Adoption Center has sniffed out a $1,000 grant to benefit animals at the facility. The grant is called “Shelter Animals Count” and it’s through Maddie’s Fund, a foundation founded in 1994 by Dave Duffield and his wife, Cheryl, who have endowed the foundation with more than $300 million.“They have 2,207 shelters and organizations applying for grants already and they would like more,” said Adoption Center director Kim Pettrey. “They are offering a $1,000 grant to anyone that signs up by the end of this month.”The grant is digging for data.
