Veterans will come together on Pearl Harbor Day at the Senior Center for an encore signing of the 2018 McMinnville Noon Exchange Club veterans calendar.The proceeds will go to help house homeless veterans.The signing, featuring the local veterans who are represented in each month of the calendar, will be on hand from 4 to 6 p.m., Dec. 7 at the Senior Center on Morrison Street across from Boyd Christian School in Westwood.The veterans featured in the 2018 calendar include I.V. Hillis, E.F. Smith, Harold Griffith, Angie Higgins, Hubert Boyd, Hugh Stubblefield, Margie Anderson, Jack Puckett, Ronald Horton, W.C. Chilton, Mark Livengood, Donald Patterson and William Demonbreun.This is the second year the Noon Exchange Club has offered the calendar, the result of an idea by member and professional photographer Shelly Miller to help with the Veterans Matter program championed by the National Exchange Club.To date, Veterans Matter has housed 1,835 veterans and their families. Of that number, 29 have been in Tennessee as the program started working in the Volunteer State this past March.Calendars will be available for purchase for $15. Anyone who has previously purchased a calendar and wants to have it signed is welcome to bring their calendar to the event.
