Fans of classic music have had to wait a little longer than originally intended, but "Ultimate Oldies: Tribute to the '50s, '60s and '70s" is scheduled to take the Park Theater stage Friday at 7 p.m. The band was originally slated to play the Park on Jan. 11, but the show was canceled due to snow.
Ultimate Oldies are no strangers to McMinnville, having been frequent guests at the Park Theater since its reopening in 2015. The group, based in Manchester, features a live band, singers, dancers and actors showcasing a wide variety of musical genres as it takes audiences through the decades.
"We're happy to welcome back Ultimate Oldies," Park Theater Manager Joe Harvey said. "We always get a lot of requests for this show, so we're excited to have them return for our next Signature Series show. They bring a lot of energy and classic hits to the stage and the audience always has a great time."
The Park Theater Signature Series is sponsored by Ben Lomand Connect and Security Federal Savings Bank. Balcony tickets for Ultimate Oldies are $25 plus tax while floor seats are $30 plus tax.
"We'd like to remind people that tickets can only be purchased online at mcminnvilleparktheater.com, by calling or visiting our box office, or at the door," Harvey said. "We've had reports of reseller sites trying to sell tickets to our shows for big markups. We encourage folks to check the links they follow and if they're ever in doubt about a ticket link online, please contact us at (931) 506-2787. For those who have tickets for the original show date on Jan. 11, those tickets are still good, and no further action is needed."
