Felony assault charges have been leveled against a Warren County Jail inmate who broke another prisoner’s jaw.
The inmate, Johnny Miles Tindell, 34, could face three to six years if he is convicted of the charge of aggravated assault.
Investigators say he assaulted fellow inmate Marty Andrew Muncey. “He entered Muncey’s cell and attacked him while he was lying in his bed,” said sheriff’s investigator Steven Carpenter, noting the attack sent Muncey to the hospital.
“The incident caused numerous injuries to Muncey’s face including a cracked jaw, broken orbital socket and a tear in his eye.”
The investigator said Tindell can be seen on surveillance video coming out of the victim’s cell after the attack.
“He admitted to the assault and said there was a disagreement between the two,” the investigator said of what prompted the attack.
