Law enforcement officers are looking for the driver of a dark Chevy Trail Blazer after three stores were burglarized in the early morning hours Wednesday.
The stores suffering break-ins were Country Club Market on Manchester Highway, and Medley’s Market and Wanamaker’s Market, both on Beersheba Highway in the Irving College area.
“We believe it’s the same suspect,” said Sheriff’s Department chief investigator Marc Martin. “The front door was broken out at all three stores and we do have some surveillance video.”
The break-ins began around 3 a.m. Country Club Market was hit and had an estimated $6,000 worth of lottery tickets stolen along with cigarettes.
At Medley’s Market, an estimated $400 worth of cigarettes was reported stolen.
At Wanamaker’s Market, the only thing reported missing was the hard drive to the surveillance system. Martin admits it’s puzzling why a thief would break in only to steal the surveillance hard drive.
Martin said the Trail Blazer appears to have a broken tail light. He says suspects have been developed and officers are following leads.
