A McMinnville resident was arrested after an altercation about an open window.
Jaylan Dominique Donnell, 19, was arrested on Dec. 27 around midnight after arresting officer Zach Little was dispatched to Donnell’s home for a physical domestic disturbance. According to officer Little, when he arrived on the scene, “Donnell exited the front door very irate yelling, ‘Why are you at my house?’” Donnell then allegedly pushed the officer.
Little continued, “Donnell reentered the home and began to yell at his mother (Marilyn Lillard).” While officer Little was attempting to detain Donnell, Donnell allegedly began to pull away after getting verbal commands to put his hands behind his back.
Lillard reportedly stated that she and Donnell were in an argument due to him leaving his bedroom window open.
According to Little, “Lillard stated that Donnell then spit on her. Lillard also stated that Donnell was throwing and breaking things causing her to call McMinnville Police Department in fear.”
Donnell was charged with one count of domestic assault, assault against a first responder and resisting arrest. He is out on conditional release until and was arraigned on Tuesday, Jan. 3. His court date is set for Feb. 7.
