Making sure medications are available to the public is vital during this unique time in history.
Our health and well-being are more important than ever these days. The employees at Sullivan’s Hometown Pharmacy are continuing to serve the community by making sure the public has what it needs.
Pharmacist Delanie Sullivan stated, “We’re trying to keep patients and ourselves safe. We are offering curbside pick-up, and we have plexiglass dividers at our pharmacy area.”
They also have marked the floors with red tape to indicate safe distances so customers aren’t close to one another.
Things are running smoothly and nothing has run out, according to Sullivan. “This time of year in Tennessee there is an increase in allergy medicine,” said Sullivan. She added customers are calm and respectful.
Owner of Sullivan’s Hometown Pharmacy, Don Sullivan, has been a pharmacist for 32 years. When asked how senior customers are feeling about the virus he said, “They are taking it like troopers. They can see the light at the end of the tunnel and know we’ll get through this.”
A common question Mr. Sullivan has been asked is if there is anything that can help prevent the virus? “Build up your immune system. I suggest adding vitamin C and zinc supplements. Also remember the better you eat the healthier you will become.”
He hopes folks can get back to work soon and stated, “Everyone needs to hang in there and keep your optimism. Keep being careful and use precautions when going out.”
