Straight-line winds or tornado?

Sally Heath’s front yard in Morrison off Manchester Highway was one of many sites in the area which suffered the loss of trees due to the strong winds. Determining the difference in a tornado and straight-line wind is the job of meteorologists at the National Weather Service.
