Bananas offer many health benefits, including more smiles as Nyla Millraney, Maddux Underhill and Harper Stoner demonstrate. The Southern Standard celebrates customer appreciation day this Friday from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Enjoy a free banana split, while registering for door prizes. Few things are better at fighting a hot summer day than a refreshing banana split.

Probably the absolute best thing is a free banana split.

Stop by the Southern Standard office at 105 College Street this Friday from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. for our annual customer appreciation day that features free banana splits, prize giveaways and discount subscriptions.

When you think of how the price of everything has soared recently with inflation, a subscription to the Standard is amazingly affordable. Thanks to our Banana Day specials, you can get the Standard for just 50.6 cents an issue with a one-year subscription.

At that price, you can buy 10 editions of the Standard, nearly an entire month of news, for about what you pay for a gallon of gas.

“Providing accurate information for Warren County has always been our goal,” said Standard publisher Patricia Zechman. “We’re glad to be able to tighten our belts so to speak and continue to offer the newspaper at a great price when the price of everything else is going up.”

Come support the Standard with a subscription to our print edition or our website. Banana Day specials will be offered all week. Free banana splits will be served this Friday, June 24, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
