An unusually strong solar storm produced northern lights in the U.S. this weekend visible as far south as Florida. The solar storm presented a rare chance to witness the phenomenon, sending many Warren countians out in search of a dark spot to better view the northern lights from. Highway 8 was a popular destination Friday night with many residents encountering each other in the dark using their phone cameras which are better at capturing light than the naked eye.
