City offices are reopening, but The Park Theater will be sticking to its rescheduled dates and cancellations.
“The city offices have a lot more flexibility because they can open, but some of our events we’ve had to reschedule because of the uncertainty of it,” said Park Theater manager Kevin Roberts.
The Park Theater had to cancel and reschedule upcoming events due to the rise in COVID-19 cases in Warren County. The theater follows the city, so when the city decided to close its offices the theater closed too.
“There are some of them that will remain closed and our box office will open when the city opens, but some of the events have been rescheduled and we’re going to go with the rescheduled date,” said Roberts.
The Malpass Brothers concert scheduled for Sept. 19 has been cancelled. Other cancellations include Jackson Heights on Sept. 26, Main Street Live on Oct. 10, Dog Party Live on Stage on Oct. 15 and The Comedy of Rex Havens on Oct. 22.
The T Graham Brown concert set for Sept. 25 has been postponed to Jan. 14, 2022 and the Kentucky Headhunters concert scheduled for Oct. 8 has been postponed to an undetermined date.
Tickets purchased for the postponed shows will still be honored for the same seats at the rescheduled concerts.
Roberts says they have some really big names coming in 2022 to The Park Theater.
“We are very, very excited,” he said.
The theater will announce its 2022 schedule on Oct. 1.
