Warren County schools now have seven inclement weather days remaining.
The threat of winter weather prompted Director of Schools Dr. Grant Swallows to close schools on Wednesday and Thursday.
School was cancelled because Warren County was under a Winter Weather Advisory with possible ice accumulation. The weather was being monitored Wednesday night and school was untimely canceled Thursday morning. Swallows said he decided to cancel school due to weather conditions, temperatures hovering at freezing with heavy rain and fog in some areas. Driver safety was a major factor in the decision.
Warren County started the year with 10 inclement weather days. So far this year, three inclement weather days have been used leaving them with seven remaining.
Schools were previously closed on Jan. 13 due to a Winter Weather Advisory.
