A man who ran from police last month as they were trying to put him into the backseat of a patrol car has been charged with escape, while a friend has been charged with abetting for giving him a place to hide.The escapee, Dakota W. Cook, 22, is charged with driving on a revoked license, criminal impersonation, evading arrest, escape and violation of probation. Meanwhile, Jessica J. Harvey, 22, has been charged with being an accessory after the fact.Cook was blue lighted on Vinewood Road by McMinnville police officer Katelyn Neal after she noticed his license plate light was not working. However, he refused to stop until he had reached the end of Green Acres Apartments parking lot.
