The Main Street Live summer concert series is keeping the music going this Friday night with the Joe Harvey Band offering a classic rock theme.
“We are excited about being back at Main Street Live,” said Harvey. “We are always excited about this gig. It’s our first big gig in McMinnville this year. It’s a big deal every year for us. We really enjoy it and look forward to it every year. We enjoy the crowd. McMinnville offers a big crowd with all age ranges. We don’t always get to play to a crowd that diverse in ages. Those are the crowds we like the most.”
The band will be offering its standard set of classic rock with band members Joe Harvey on lead vocals, Lee Carr on guitar, and Evan Gross on drums. Special guests will be guitar player Andy Wilhite and bass player Tim Winton.
Main Street Live is a family oriented event. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited and smoking is not allowed in the crowd. All animals need to be leashed and owners must clean up after their pets.
Joe Harvey will take the stage at 7 p.m. on the West Lawn of Security Federal.
Opening for the band will be Josh Wanamaker at 6 p.m. Wanamaker recently won the Battle of the Bands during Taste of the Underground presented by Warren County Chamber of Commerce at Park Theater. As part of the prize package, he is slated to perform during the PBS taping of Bluegrass Underground in January 2017.
There will be a variety of food and beverages available from vendors beginning at 6 p.m. Parking and admission are free. Bring a chair and enjoy the music.
