Redmon, dentist agree to drop charges

District Attorney General Lisa Zavogiannis.
In a case of no harm, no foul, two businessmen agreed to drop charges against one another after allegedly trading death threats.Assault charges against local dentist Robert K. Bewick, DDS, 63, and local auto mechanic Jack Redmon, 46, were dropped in General Sessions Court on Thursday morning as a result of a mutual agreement between the men to not pursue further prosecution of one another. The dismissal also likely means Redmon will see his violation of probation charge go away in Circuit Court. Redmon was on probation for stabbing fellow businessman Mike Hale in front of the VFW in 2015 and stood to serve the remainder of that three-year sentence if the recent assault charge violated his probation.
