Filling truck beds with toys will be the theme this Saturday, Nov. 27 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Reddick Brown Ford on Manchester Highway during the Cruise-In for Toys.

All types of vehicles from classic, antique, bikes, trucks, tractors and every day drivers are welcome. The goal is to fill as many truck beds as possible with toys in order to bring smiles to young faces. Toys geared toward all ages are welcome.

The fill-the-truck-bed concept was the brainstorm of Coty Jones and other Reddick Brown Ford employees. It is their sentiment that no child should be without a toy or gift on Christmas morning. Once the beds are full, they will disperse the toys between local churches as organizers believe church officials have a sound grasp on local needs.

“It will be a great way to kick off the holidays and get into the spirit,” said Jones. “It’s all for a good cause to help those in the community who cannot afford a toy for their children. We are going to donate to churches so the kids can have a smile on their face on Christmas morning. All children of all ages need a toy to open. That’s the best Christmas present for me. It will be a great way to way to kick off the holidays and get into the spirit.”
