Tennessee Corrections Institute has named Warren County Sheriff’s Department jail administrator Jackie Rackley as Jail Administrator of the Year for 2019.

Warren County Sheriff’s Department has a new accolade to add to its wall.

Jackie Rackley has been named Jail Administrator of the Year by the Tennessee Corrections Institute.

“It’s exciting,” said Rackley. “I was surprised. They were good at keeping it a secret. I turned around and everyone was there, including my husband. I can’t believe they actually pulled this off and I had no idea.”

She started her career with the department a year ago as a corrections officer and was appointed jail administrator by Sheriff Tommy Myers in September 2018.

“I’m blessed and honored to be part of the Sheriff’s Department family,” said Rackley. “We are all working well together for the betterment of the department. I feel like we’re trying to achieve a common goal and we’re seeing that our efforts are paying off.”

Myers says Rackley is an asset to the department.

“The Warren County Sheriff’s Department is proud of Jackie receiving the Tennessee Correction Institute Jail Administrator of the Year award,” said Myers. “Jackie is a great asset to our department. Her hard work and dedication show in the tremendous progress that has been made at our jail.”

The award was presented during TCI’s annual Jail Issues Correctional Facility Training Conference in Gatlinburg on Tuesday.
