Multiple fire departments responded to a Wednesday evening blaze on Pine Bluff Road which claimed one structure and threatened others.
At just before 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Rock Island Fire Department, North Warren Fire Department, Collins River Fire Department, Doyle Fire Department and Central View Fire Department were dispatched to a fire on Pine Bluff Road alongside emergency personnel and Warren County Sherriff’s Department.
Rock Island Fire Department Chief Ethan Mabe reports one structure was fully involved upon arrival but firefighters managed to combat the flames away from two additional buildings and vehicles which were close enough to risk exposure. The final results were a total loss of the main structure.
As the area was in a non-hydranted area, an additional tanker was requested from Doyle Fire Department.
At this time, the potential cause is believed to be accidental in nature but is under investigation as a part of routine protocol. The report is expected to be complete in the coming days.
