A man who stole from the dead and then ran from justice will serve four months behind bars for his crimes. The defendant, James Lee Pedigo, 32, entered guilty pleas before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley on charges of aggravated burglary, evading arrest and driving on a suspended license. He was ordered to serve four months and five days of a four-year sentence, pay $125 plus costs, lose his driver license for one year and enter adult recovery court, which is an intensive, 18-month rehabilitation program overseen by the local court system.Pedigo’s jail time comes for two separate incidents, the first of which began when a home was broken into on Dab Jones Road in the Centertown area.
