Adult Prom1
Lisa Hobbs photo Jamie Farnsworth and Brian Summers were among the guests at Saturdays Adult Masquerade Prom, a fundraiser for Relay for Life. While formal dress and costumes were optional, they wanted the full cover-up experience.

Whimsical was a good way to describe Saturday night’s Adult Masquerade Prom.

“We had a great turnout,” said Holly Walker, event organizer. “It seemed like everyone was having lots of fun. We want to thank everyone for coming out and helping us raise money for Relay for Life.”

The DJ was “Mr. Entertainment” Jacob Dodd and photographs were offered by Jacklyn Davis Photography.

“The DJ was awesome,” said Walker. “Everyone loved getting their pictures taken. What prom would be complete without them? A special thanks to Jacob Dodd and Jacklyn Davis Photography.”

The event was presented by the team Emma’s Mouse Cure-teers, and it netted $900.

Olivia Newby and Ethan Barrett were crowned queen and king. The two are actually best friends. They decided against masks and went for a more traditional experience because this was his first prom. Couples entered for a chance to win the titles.

For couples who missed this year’s event, there is a silver lining to this fairytale.

“We for sure will be having another one next year,” said Walker. “We had a lot of people not get to come this year because other plans conflicted. We have already been discussing the theme. Stay tuned.”
