Parks and Rec confusion cleared up
local news.png
At the May 9 meeting of the Board of the Mayor and Alderman, City Administrator Nolan Ming and City Attorney Tim Pirtle were tasked with the responsibility of getting to the bottom of why the Parks and Recreation Committee decisions are binding instead of going to the Board of the Mayor and Alderman for approval. The issue was brought up in response to a series of fee waivers that had been approved for the Milner Recreation Center which brought up confusion that arose after the decision to change rates at the center earlier this year.
