Warren County’s doves were not willing to be featured in a session of “Nick’s Wild Ride.” Will turkeys gobble up the opportunity?
“It looks like they will be doing a turkey hunt and possibly some musky fishing,” said Tourism Development Board chair Christy Ross. “I’m excited about that. At the end of this week, when Nick Hoffman has more details, he is going to reach back out and let me know. He already has his turkey-hunting guy lined up.”
Ross provided an update to members of the Tourism Board on Monday.
This will be Hoffman’s second attempt to film a fowl hunt in Warren County. In 2020, doves were scheduled to be featured, but were a no-show.
Details of the production are being held under wraps and will not be made public.
“This is a great thing for tourism and we don’t really need to do much,” said Ross. “He likes to get in and get out. It’s hunting. You don’t want a huge amount of fanfare. You need to be a little bit quieter. He will give me more information as it progresses.”
TDB members contracted with Hoffman and show producers to film a segment of “Nick’s Wild Ride” in Warren County. Hoffman’s travel and adventure show airs on the Outdoor Channel and features hunting as well as interesting places, compelling people, vibrant cultures and good food.
