Averly Mullins’s hard work paid off Friday night when she was crowned Preteen Fairest of the Fair.

Mullins is the daughter of Thomas and Tara Mullins. When her name was announced as the winner, Mullins wasted no time and ran up the stairs with excitement. She says she has competed in a lot of pageants, but this time she is finally taking home the crown.

“I was really excited. I have competed in the fair pageants a lot and I never thought I was going to win and have never won so I am really excited,” said Mullins.

During the pageant, she was asked what her favorite part about pageants were and she said she enjoys getting to meet a lot of new people. Mullins also added that another reason she likes pageants is because she loves being on stage.

Joining Mullins on the court are first runner-up Harper Patrick, daughter of Jerry and Kandice Patrick; second runner-up Kelby Nunley, daughter of Chris and Chandi Nunley, and third runner-up Ansely Pepper, daughter of Josh and Rachel Pepper.

The top 10 contestants are: Destiny Walker, Neveah Johnson, Risa Bernardo, Serinity Marin, Ansley Pepper, Kelby Nunley, Kamryn Campbell, Harper Patrick, Averly Mullins, and Ava Willett.
