Mullican charged for collecting dead man's drugs

A man has been hit with prescription fraud charges after he collected a prescription made out to a dead man.The suspect, Danny Lynn Mullican, 60, has been bound to the grand jury on the charge of felony prescription fraud.Mullican is charged after he went to Rite Aid on North Chancery Street and collected a prescription. “He picked up a prescription for oxycodone belonging to Paul Jones who is deceased,” said McMinnville police detective Tony Jenkins.Jenkins pointed out Jones died nearly a month before Mullican picked up the drugs from Rite Aid.“He could not have had permission to obtain any prescription medication for Mr. Jones,” Jenkins pointed out.Mullican was already in trouble for drugs when he was busted on the fraud charges. One month prior to the Rite Aid incident, Mullican was pulled over because his front-seat passenger was not wearing a seatbelt.
