According to studies, the worldwide direct cost of internet fraud and theft is an estimated $8.4 trillion as of 2022. It is projected that, within the year, this number could spike to $11 trillion. Motlow State Community College has a plan to combat these statistics, along with other programs soon to be offered, that will equip students with the knowledge of staying safe on the internet and to become a part of a future in mechatronics.
