Motorcycle riding club invites veterans to free meal

Motorcycle riders who like to experience the freedom of the open road are planning a meal to say thank you to those who made that freedom possible.A group called Silent Creed Riding Club is holding a free meal open to all veterans May 20 at the VFW. The meal will be served at 2 p.m. and include Bad Boys BBQ.“We couldn’t do what we do unless they’ve done what they’ve done,” said Silent Creed president Darren Turner. Added Silent Creed vice president Dewey Nelson, “If we can give the veterans a free meal, and give their spouses a free meal too, it’s the least we can do to show how much we appreciate them.”Turner and Nelson started the motorcycle club about 18 months ago. They were the only members at first, but the group has grown to about 15.
