Mom gets jail after toddler found in street

A mother whose 2-year-old son was wandering the streets while she was under the influence of drugs will serve 15 days in jail plus time she owes for violating her probation.The mother, Tiffani Elizabeth McFarland, 34, entered a guilty plea to the charge of attempted child neglect and was directed to serve 15 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence. She was also ordered to serve what time she owes for violation of probation in addition to her new jail term. She was on probation for driving on a revoked license.Her latest jail time comes after police were called to McBride Street after a neighbor found a 2-year-old boy in the street.“The child was unable to tell the officers where he lived due to him being at an age where he cannot communicate that well,” said McMinnville policeman Chris Odom.Officers were able to determine where the child lived.
