A Warren County man who was already listed on the federal sex offender registry now faces another charge after allegedly cruising through a fast-food drive-thru with more than just his method of payment ready for employees to see.
Travis B. King, 48, was released from the Warren County Jail after posting a $5,000 bond Wednesday, and now faces a charge of indecent exposure after an incident which allegedly occurred at the McMinnville McDonald’s in February.
According to the arrest report filed by McMinnville Police Detective Chris McCormick, on Feb. 19 King, who is originally from Murfreesboro, drove through the McDonald’s drive-thru with no pants on, intentionally revealing his genitals. Workers at the restaurant, who were obviously upset by the interaction, reportedly told King they were calling law enforcement. At that point King reportedly drove away, but a description of his vehicle and a partial license plate number were recorded.
Detectives began to investigate the case, including sharing a surveillance photo on social media and asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in question while not revealing the nature of their investigation. During McCormick’s look into the case, a vehicle matching the description given at the time of the incident was located via a Flock camera, and King was allegedly revealed as the suspect in question. Further investigation into King’s criminal history revealed he was already listed on the sexual offender registry after being convicted in 2009 of possession of child pornography. He was arrested March 5, and bonded out less than two hours after being processed into the jail.
King is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court for arraignment March 11.
