McMinnville’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen will receive its first shot at package liquor stores inside the city limits on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. At that time, the full board will decide if it agrees with a decision by Finance Committee members to strike a provision that require McMinnville residency and to not put a limit on the number of package liquor stores allowed. Committee members reviewed an ordinance from Municipal Technical Advisory Service (MTAS) on Dec. 13 that included both a residency requirement and limiting the number of stores. It was presented to them by city attorney Tim Pirtle.
