Law enforcement officials swarmed an area of the city near Center Street on Thursday after a suspect darted from the back of a vehicle that was being stopped by a deputy. According to Sheriff Jackie Matheny, the male suspect managed to elude capture. Matheny said he isn’t sure if the suspect is thought to have a connection to the weekend crime spree which saw bullets fired into a home, two businesses burglarized, and a motorcycle stolen.
