A Morrison man has been charged with aggravated sexual battery for allegedly touching a 6-year-old girl inappropriately.
The suspect, Jeremy Douglas Brock, 41, could face 15 to 25 years in prison if convicted of the Class B Felony, a sentence that under state law must be served at 100 percent without chance of early release by parole. Brock waived his right to preliminary hearing and has was bound to the grand jury by General Sessions Judge Bill Locke.
The charge comes after the girl told her mother in October that Brock had touched her in a private area. Potentially supporting the girl’s claim is eyewitness testimony by a family member who reported seeing the accused in the same bed as the victim on the evening in question.
