The Main Street Live summer concert series is set to kick off Friday, June 9, with a record breaker and Heart taker.
Little Queen, The Music of Heart, opened the season in 2012 and at that time, set a record for having one of the largest crowds in the event’s history with an estimated 2,000 people in attendance.
“It’s another year of crowd favorites,” said Annie Moffitt, Main Street McMinnville board member.
A second contender for largest crowd is also in this year’s lineup. Bueller, a premier 1980s tribute band, will take the stage July 7. The band performed in 2015 to a packed audience. It takes its name from the movie “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” from 1986 and performs hits from AC/DC, Aha, Beastie Boys, Billy Idol, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, Bruce Springsteen, The Cars, The Clash, Cyndi Lauper, Dire Straits, Don Henley, Duran Duran, and more.
A product of Main Street McMinnville, the eight-week series features bands across the music spectrum with country, rock, Motown, and funk. Concerts are offered on the West Lawn of Security Federal Saving Bank at 7 p.m. Food vendors open at 6 p.m.
“Main Street Live has something to offer to everyone,” said Dillon Rowland, Main Street McMinnville board president. “Whether you are a lover of kettle corn, good eats, great music or all of the above, Main Street Live takes you back to the roots of small-town community and entertainment.”
Vietnam Veterans of America, Royce Davenport Chapter 1112, will return collecting nonperishable food for Warren County Emergency Food Bank.
