The wait is nearly over for Main Street Live.
A Beatles tribute band will kick off the summer concert series this Friday night, June 11, at 7 p.m.
Set to the take the stage for the first of eight summer concerts is Forever Abbey Road. Offering the best of the Beatles and sounds of the 1960s will be John Salaway, Mike Cap, Josh Horne and Jay Szalay.
The group is a returning favorite to the Main Street Live stage.
“Forever Abbey Road is honored and excited to kick off Main Street McMinnville on June 11,” said Salaway. “We love McMinnville. The city and audiences there have been so good to us and we are sincerely grateful for the opportunity to play there. This concert series is a blessing for the community.”
Just a few of the songs on the band’s extensive playlist are: “Here Comes the Sun,” “She Loves You,” “Come Together,” “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” “Get Back,” “Can’t Buy Me Love,” “A Hard Day’s Night,” “Something,” “Time of the Season,” “Imagine,” “Hey Jude,” “Ticket to Ride,” “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” and “Twist and Shout.”
Food vendors are an integral part of the Main Street Live experience. Vendors for this year will include The Greek Station, Sparky’s Popcorn, Tako Sushi, Begonias, Dirty Dogs, Topz, and mouth-watering desserts from First National Bank.
The Vietnam Veterans of America Royce Davenport Chapter 1112 will be accepting nonperishable food for the Warren County Emergency Food Bank during this year’s Main Street Live events. Donations can be placed in marked boxes located next to the stage.

Food vendors open at 6 p.m. Music begins at 7 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the sounds.
