A local businessman led lawmen on a low-speed chase through two counties Tuesday afternoon in his work truck – traveling much of the distance with only two tires.The suspect, Tracey Parton, faces numerous charges for the chase that began when he refused to pull over his large panel truck on Smithville Highway. Lawmen say Parton had run through someone’s yard and nearly hit a person just prior to trying to stop him. The reason for his erratic behavior is unknown.With Parton refusing to stop for deputies and troopers as he traveled southbound on Smithville Highway toward McMinnville, city police waited atop Moose Lodge Hill and deployed spike strips as he entered the city limits.
