A McMinnville teen was killed Monday near El Paso, Texas when he was hit by a motorist as he was trying to push a disabled vehicle from the interstate in the early morning hours. The crash, which claimed the life of former Warren County High School student Stankeevion Wimbley, 19, happened at about 1:45 a.m. Monday on Interstate 10 West, about seven miles west of Fort Hancock in Hudspeth County, Texas.According to the Texas Department of Safety report on the accident, Emma Mercado, 31, of El Paso, was driving a Ford SUV that was towing an SUV using a tow strap. The tow strap failed, leaving a Chrysler SUV, which was being guided by Wimbley, stranded in the middle of the highway.
