Members of the Warren County High School chorus made an “Urgent” trip to Nashville on Friday and were hoping for temperatures as “Cold as Ice” to break the July heat when they performed alongside legendary rock group Foreigner at Ascend Amphitheater.“The students were excited to be able to get up on stage in front of so many people,” said WCHS chorus director Kennette Dixon, noting Ascend Amphitheater has seating for 6,800.Dixon said some parents were more thrilled about the concert than the students. “Most of the students had heard songs by Foreigner but didn’t really know the group, while there were some parents who were big fans.”The chorus won the right to perform with Foreigner by winning a contest on Facebook. The chorus submitted videos of their performances and was selected by contest organizers.
