“Hark at the Park! A Harvey Family Christmas” will be held at Park Theater on Thursday, Dec. 20. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7 p.m.

“We enjoy offering this annually,” said Steve Harvey. “It’s a wonderful concert and it has become a big Christmas event in McMinnville. We have a lot of fun offering it and spectators love it. We look forward to it every year.”

The concert is in support of Magness Library and Hamilton Street Activity Center.

“This is our 10th year for this fundraiser,” said Harvey of what’s become a holiday tradition. “We offer something different every year, a surprise for the audience. This year’s surprise is going to be a crowd pleaser. You’ll have to attend to find out what it is.”

Hamilton Street Activity Center director Lisa Harvey started the concert and proceeds are split between the library and the center. The center offers homework assistance, afternoon snacks, supervised activities, and organized play for school-age children who live in public housing.

While the center and the library split the proceeds, everything goes toward helping children.

“Everyone should join us for a great night of entertainment and support two worthy causes,” said Harvey. “Light refreshments will be served.”

Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased at Magness Library or Park Theater. Call 473-2428 for more information.
