The Warren County grand jury has examined the state’s case against Carol Simpson and determined that she should stand trial on a plethora of charges stemming from a deadly motor vehicle accident that occurred on July 26 in Rock Island. The woman accused of vehicle homicide after a Rock Island wreck claimed the life of a patient being transported by ambulance was among those indicted Friday when the Warren County Grand Jury met for its monthly session.


Carol Simpson has been held over for trial on four counts of reckless endangerment, vehicular assault, vehicular homicide by recklessness, vehicular homicide by intoxication, seatbelt violation, no proof of insurance, failure to yield resulting in death or injury, stop sign violation, and failure to obtain a Tennessee license within 30 days of residency.


Simpson was attempting to cross the four-lane from Bone Cave Road to Rock Island Road and a White County ambulance was heading inbound toward McMinnville, during an emergency transport, when the collision occurred. Her minivan hit the ambulance’s driver-side door causing it to veer into the guardrail, roll and flip.


Killed in the crash was Clifton Harville, 60, of Crossville. Injured were ambulance personnel Ethan Dweese, 22, who was driving, and John Hurd, 41, who was in back with the patient.


The wreck occurred July 26.


In its regular October session, the grand jury also issued these indictments.


Enrique Zurita Benites and Jason Nunley were indicted for manufacture, delivery, sell, or possession of meth, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.


Alexis Jewell Brackley was indicted for driving under the influence, and possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia.


Gaetano Carrubba was indicted for violation of the sex offender registration law.


Mycah Logan Cole was indicted for possession of meth for resale, introduction of contraband into a penal institution, and simple possession of heroin.


Timothy Kwaun Couser was indicted for vandalism over $1,000, vandalism under $1,000, two counts of theft of property under $1,000, and two counts of burglary.


Keri Crawford was indicted for possession of meth, possession of a schedule IV drug, possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia, and shoplifting.


Richard Dishman was indicted for manufacture, delivery, or sell of controlled substance schedule VI, and violation of the light law.

Dana Marie Dolberry was indicted for possession of meth.


Delanie Doss was indicted for driving on revoked driver’s license, and third office driving under the influence.


Jacques Elam was indicted for simple possession of meth.

Casey Allen Hedgecoth was indicted for fraudulent use of credit cards.


Joshua Johnson was indicted for violation of open container law, and simple possession of a schedule VI drug.


Weston Gage Lance was indicted for theft of property under $1,000, and aggravated burglary.


Gary Lee Lankford was indicted for theft over $500.


Sonda Mai Larson was indicted for simple possession of meth.


Amy Lawson was indicted for introduction of contraband into a penal institution.


Jesse C. Martin was indicted for simple possession of a schedule VI drug, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of meth for resale.


Jose Morales was indicted for possession of meth.

Heather Pytlewski was indicted for simple possession of schedule II. drug, simple possession of meth, simple possession of schedule II drug, unlawful drug paraphernalia, and sell, deliver, or possession of a controlled substance.


Derek J. Rader was indicted for driving under the influence, and violation of the light law.


Ashley Rains was indicted for possession of a schedule II drug for resale or delivery, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Maria Delia Reed was indicted for two counts of stalking.


Bradley Denton Robertson was indicted for two counts of theft of property including merchandise, and two counts of criminal trespass.


Gavin Shaw was indicted for possession of meth, and introduction of contraband into a penal institution.


Chastity Simerly was indicted for shoplifting.


Roy Allen Gibbs was indicted for third offense driving on revoke license, and violation of registration law.


Thomas Grissom was indicted for second offense driving under the influence.
