Mark the date now. Giving Tuesday, a global giving movement, is just over a week away.
It is estimated 25% of Americans will participate in the event. Each year, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving is designated for giving. The idea, conceived in 2012, was introduced as simply a day to promote generosity and to promote doing good. Since that time, it has grown into a global movement during which millions give.
On Giving Tuesday 2020, a landslide of donations roughly totaling $2.4 billion were given to nonprofit organizations by approximately 34 million people.
McMinnville and Warren County have numerous churches, civic and nonprofit groups to which you can lend a hand or send a monetary donation.
Examples include: Kids of the Community, Black History Museum, the FUEL Program, My Father’s Closet, the Senior Center, Meals On Wheels, HOME Homeless of McMinnville Effort, Families In Crisis, and Warren County Emergency Food Bank. These are just a few of the many options available to become a part of the global movement.

Nov. 30 is the calendar date for 2021’s Giving Tuesday. Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness or generosity carry the same weight as a donation of tens of thousands of dollars. Make a plan today to be a part of Giving Tuesday 2021.
