Criminal Trial and Arraignment dockets were heard Tuesday, Aug. 20, by Judge Ryan J. Moore in General Sessions Court. Included in Tuesday’s action:

• Gregory Dean Cantrell waived his right to a preliminary hearing and bound his case to the grand jury. He is charged with first degree murder, rape, abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence. 

• Mathew J. Haycox pleaded guilty to aggravated criminal littering and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days to serve 90 days in jail, the balance on supervised probation, ordered to pay a $2,500 fine, plus court costs. He also pleaded guilty to vandalism and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation and ordered to pay restitution. These sentences run consecutively. 

• Justin Lee Hill, Jr. pleaded guilty to a violation of probation and was sentenced to 30 days in jail. 

• Ashley Laate pleaded guilty to theft and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation, ordered to pay court costs and banned from the victim’s premises. 

• Oscar Ortiz Miller pleaded guilty to criminal trespass and was sentenced to 30 days in jail, assessed a $50 fine, plus court costs. 

• Justin Shockley pleaded guilty to a violation of probation and was sentenced to 60 days in jail. He also pleaded guilty to criminal trespass and was sentenced to 15 days in jail and assessed a $50 fine. He also pleaded guilty to another count of criminal trespass and was sentenced to 15 days in jail, assessed a $50 fine, plus court costs. He also pleaded guilty to a violation of probation and was sentenced to 60 days in jail.  These sentences run consecutively. 

• Jason Ryan Walker pleaded guilty to driving on a revoked license and was sentenced to six months to serve 48 hours in jail, the balance on supervised probation, ordered to pay a $50 fine, plus court costs. He also pleaded guilty to evading arrest and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days to serve 10 days in jail, the balance on supervised probation and assessed a $50 fine. He also pleaded guilty to criminal contempt for a failure to appear and was sentenced to 10 days in jail, assessed a $50 fine, plus court costs. These sentences run consecutively. 

• Josh Goff waived his right to a preliminary hearing and bound his case to the grand jury. He is charged with tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse. The court also raised his bond from $60,000 to $1,000,000. If he makes bond the court ordered that he wear a GPS ankle monitor and be drug tested weekly. 

• Sean Austin waived his preliminary hearing and bound his case to the grand jury. He is charged with reckless endangerment of a deadly weapon, aggravated domestic assault, violation of an order of protection and public intoxication.  

• Petronilo Angel Canuto pleaded guilty to underage consumption and was sentenced to six months on supervised probation, ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation and follow all recommended treatment and assessed court costs. He also pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was sentenced to 30 days on supervised probation.  These sentences run consecutively. 

• Cheryl Collins pleaded guilty to joyriding and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation and assessed court costs. She also pleaded guilty to a violation of probation and was sentenced to 45 days in jail. These sentences run consecutively. 

• Christina Marie Donovan pleaded guilty to child neglect and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation, ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation and follow all recommended treatment. She also pleaded guilty to vandalism and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation. These sentences run consecutively. 

• Jeffery Lynn Duke waived his preliminary hearing and bound his case to the grand jury. He is charged with felony theft of property. 

• Irving Houston Green, Jr. pleaded guilty to domestic assault and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days to serve 120 days in jail, the balance on supervised probation, ordered to pay restitution, court cost and successfully complete the Batterer’s Intervention Program. He also pleaded guilty to violation of an order of protection and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation and assessed a $100 fine. He also pleaded guilty to another count of violation of an order of protection and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation and assessed a $100 fine. These sentences run consecutively.  

• Dustin Kight pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation, assessed a $50 fine, plus court costs, ordered to forfeit the weapon used in the offense, ordered to pay restitution and stay away from the victim. 

• Sonda M. Lawson was admitted into the Second Chance Program. She was ordered to stay away from the victim, remain arrest free, and pay court costs. She is charged with domestic assault. This matter will be reviewed in November. 

• Phoenix Tyler Ledbetter waived his right to a preliminary hearing and bound his case to the grand jury. He is charged with domestic assault, vandalism, and two counts of violation of bond conditions. 

• Cruz A. Murcia Lopez pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and was sentenced to six months to serve 48 hours in jail, the balance on supervised probation, assessed a $50 fine, plus court costs. 

• Nicholas Marchbanks pleaded guilty to a violation of probation and was sentenced to 160 days in jail. He also pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation, ordered to successfully complete the TNROCS Program, assessed court costs and ordered to stay away from the victim. These sentences run consecutively. 

• Terrence D. Martin pleaded guilty to domestic assault and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days to serve 10 days in jail, the balance on supervised probation, ordered to successfully complete an anger management program and have no contact with the victim. He also pleaded guilty to another count of domestic assault and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days to serve 10 days in jail, the balance on supervised probation, ordered to successfully complete an anger management program and have no contact with the victim. These sentences run concurrently. 

• Justin Allan McDowell pleaded guilty to assault and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days to serve 30 days in jail, the balance on supervised probation, ordered to successfully complete an anger management program and assessed court costs. He also pleaded guilty to domestic assault and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days to serve 30 days in jail, the balance on supervised probation and ordered to successfully complete an anger management program. These sentences run concurrently. Consecutive to the aforementioned, he also pleaded guilty to violation of an order of protection and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation and assessed a $150 fine. 

• Nathan Wayne Nash pleaded guilty to a violation of probation and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days in jail. 

• Jess Prince Pease, Jr. pleaded guilty to theft and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days to serve 20 days in jail, the balance on supervised probation, ordered to pay restitution, banned from victim’s premises, assessed a $75 fine to the economic crime fund, plus court costs. 

• Patrick Eugene Reagan waived his preliminary hearing and bound his case to the grand jury. He is charged with three counts of aggravated assault. 

• Eric Fabian Rodriguez waived his preliminary hearing and bound his case to the grand jury. He is charged with felony theft of property. 

• Phillip Matthew Shook pleaded guilty to a violation of probation and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days in jail, with the right to furlough to an in-patient treatment facility. He also pleaded guilty to assault and was sentenced to 120 days in jail, with the right to be furloughed to an in-patient treatment facility, ordered to have no contact with the victim, and assessed court costs. These sentences run concurrently. 

• David Brown Sullins pleaded guilty to domestic assault and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation, ordered to have no contact with the victim and assessed court costs.
