General Sessions Judge Ryan J. Moore

Criminal and Traffic dockets were heard recently by Judge Ryan J. Moore in General Sessions Court. Included in General Sessions decisions:

• Shakirra Patterson waived her preliminary hearing and bound her cases to the grand jury. She has been charged in two separate cases with failure to keep minor children in school. This is her third offense.

• Carly Lynn Blankenship pled guilty to public intoxication and was sentenced to 30 days in jail, assessed a $50 fine, plus court costs.

• Hannah Garvin pled guilty to criminal contempt for a failure to appear and was sentenced to 10 days in jail, assessed a $50 fine, plus court costs.

• Tony Eugene Moore pled guilty to domestic assault and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days in jail.

• Jerry Lee Comfort waived his preliminary hearing and bound his case to the grand jury. He is charged with public intoxication, simple possession, introduction of contraband into a penal institution and unlawful drug paraphernalia.

• Donna Kaye Johnson pled guilty to domestic assault and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation, assessed court costs, ordered to have no contact with the victim and ordered to successfully complete a 12 hour anger management course.

• Randy Kester pled guilty to a violation of probation and was sentenced to 30 days in jail. He also pled guilty to domestic assault and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days to serve 30 days in jail, the balance on supervised probation, ordered to successfully complete a 12 hour anger management course, ordered to undergo an alcohol and drug assessment and follow all recommended treatment. He also pled guilty to interference with 911 calls and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days to serve 30 days in jail, the balance on supervised probation. The violation of probation runs consecutive to the domestic assault and interference of 911 calls.

• Nevah Faith Leath pled guilty to a violation of probation and was sentenced to 120 days in jail. She also pled guilty to vandalism and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation, ordered to pay restitution to the victim, and assessed court costs.

• Brandon Mayes pled guilty to domestic assault and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days to serve 120 days in jail, the balance on supervised probation, ordered to undergo an anger management course, ordered to have no contact with the victim, banned from certain premises, ordered to have an alcohol and drug assessment and follow all recommended treatment. He also pled guilty to vandalism and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation, ordered to pay restitution to the victim, and assessed court costs. THese sentences run consecutively.

• Bill Shepard, Jr. pled guilty to possession of methamphetamine and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days to serve 45 days in jail, the balance on supervised probation, ordered to pay a $750 fine, plus court costs, ordered to undergo an alcohol and drug assessment and follow all recommended treatment.

• Aaron Christopher Smith pled guilty to assault and was sentenced to 120 days in jail and assessed court costs. This sentence is consecutive to any previously imposed sentence.

• Colby Taylor pled guilty to a violation of probation and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days in jail. On his new charges of aggravated assault and felony reckless endangerment, he waived his preliminary hearing and bound his case to the grand jury.

• Ronnie Vickers had a trial on the merits and the court found him guilty of the charge of cruelty to animals. The court sentenced him to 11 months and 29 days to serve 90 days in jail, the balance on supervised probation. The court also banned him from owning any companion animals for the rest of his life, ordered that he be placed on the Animal Abuse Registry and he was assessed court costs. He was taken into custody immediately following the trial.

• Eric Ramsey Vincent pled guilty to theft and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation, ordered to pay a $150 fine to the economic crime fund, banned from the victim’s premises, ordered to pay restitution to the victim and court costs.

• Frank Jesse Warrick III waived his preliminary hearing and bound his case to the grand jury. He is charged with possession of methamphetamine.

• Brady Yates pled guilty to domestic assault and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation, ordered to successfully complete the Caring Dads program, assessed court costs and ordered to have no contact with the victim.

• Luis David Raymond Alvarez pled guilty to driving without a license and was assessed a $50 fine, plus court costs. He also pled guilty to speeding and was assessed a $10 fine.

• Zachary Ryan Carpenter pled guilty to leaving the scene of an accident and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation and ordered to pay court costs.

• Luis Angel Guillermo Garcia pled guilty to driving on a suspended license and was sentenced to 6 months to serve 48 hours in jail, the balance on supervised probation, assessed a $50 fine, plus court costs. He also pled guilty to reckless driving and was assessed a $50 fine, plus court costs. He also pled guilty to financial responsibility law violation and was assessed a $10 fine.

• Zaria K. Lester pled guilty to underage driving while impaired and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation, assessed a $250 fine, plus court costs, and ordered to perform 48 hours of community service work. She also pled guilty to unlawful drug paraphernalia and was sentenced to 4 days in jail and assessed a $150 fine. These sentences run consecutively. She also pled guilty to driving without a license and was assessed a $50 fine.

• Kyle Dennis McCool pled guilty to possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days to serve 8 days in jail, the balance on supervised probation, ordered to undergo an alcohol and drug assessment and follow all recommended treatment and also ordered to pay a $150 fine, plus court costs.

• A capias was issued for Jose D. Zamudio for a failure to appear, a hold without bond. He is charged with driving on a revoked license, open container violation, financial responsibility law violation and driving and unregistered vehicle on roadways.

• Lisa M. Kestner pled guilty to possession of a Schedule III substance and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days to serve 30 days in jail, the balance on supervised probation, assessed a $750 fine, plus court costs. She also pled guilty to driving on a suspended license and was sentenced to 6 months to serve 30 days in jail, the balance on supervised probation. These sentences run concurrently to each other but consecutive to the following. She pled guilty to criminal contempt for a failure to appear and was sentenced to 10 days in jail, assessed a $50 fine, plus court costs.

• Gerald Mitchell pled guilty to the criminal offense of failure to appear and was sentenced to 11 month and 29 days to serve 30 days in jail, the balance on supervised probation, ordered to pay restitution to the victim and assessed court costs. He also pled guilty to driving without a license and was assessed a $50 fine, plus court costs. He also pled guilty to financial responsibility law violation and was assessed a $50 fine, plus court costs.

• Shawn Dwayne Barrett pled guilty to a violation of probation and was extended 11 months and 20 days on supervised probation and was ordered to undergo a drug test by end of business, May 9, 2025.

• Sara Bilbrey pled guilty to a violation of probation and was sentenced to 60 days in jail and ordered to undergo an alcohol and drug assessment and follow all recommended treatment; she will also be subject to random drug screens with the Adult Recovery Court.

• Freddie Lee Butcher pled guilty to unlawful drug paraphernalia and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation, ordered to pay a $150 fine, plus court costs. He also pled guilty to financial responsibility law violation and was assessed a $50 fine.

• Ambert Carlton pled guilty to leaving the scene of an accident and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation, ordered to pay a $500 fine, plus court costs.

• Gary D. Eubank pled guilty to a violation of probation and was sentenced to 90 days in jail.

• Natalie Green pled guilty to DUI first offense and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days to serve 70 days in in patient rehab, assessed a $350 fine, plus court costs, ordered to perform 24 hours of litter pickup, loss of driving privileges for one year, ordered to successfully complete the alcohol safety education class, and attend the victim impact panel.

• Aiden Rocket Kaplan waived his preliminary hearing and bound his case to the grand jury. He is charged with two counts of felony reckless endangerment, reckless driving, and felony evading arrest.

• Victoria A. Kaufman pled guilty to a violation of probation and was sentenced to 11 months and 29d days in jail. She also pled guilty to another violation of probation and was sentenced to 180 days in jail. These sentences run consecutively.

• Lisa M. Kestner pled guilty to a violation of probation and was sentenced to 60 days in jail.

• Alfonso Morales pled guilty to driving on a revoked license second offense and was sentenced to 6 months to serve 4 days in jail, the balance on supervised probation, assessed a $50 fine, plus court costs.

• Robin Velazquez Morales pled guilty to DUI first offense and was sentenced to 11 months and 20 days to serve 3 days, the balance on supervised probation, loss of driving privileges for one year, ordered to pay a $350 fine, plus court costs, ordered to successfully complete the victim impact panel and DUI safety education class and ordered to perform 24 hours of litter pickup.

• Kirby Broom Wilcher pled guilty to criminal impersonation and was sentenced to 30 days in jail, assessed a $50 fine, plus court costs.
