A full-course feast will be one of the highlights this Sunday when Christ Community Church holds its annual Thanksgiving Worship Service beginning at 10:30 a.m.

The free event will take place at Milner Recreation Center and also feature a bluegrass gospel band and a message from church preacher Jeremy Kliewer.

“Getting out in the community is one of the things we really enjoy doing,” said Kliewer.

Christ Community Church conducts large events like this twice a year at Thanksgiving and Easter. The community Easter service has been held at Park Theater and has been popular.

“Thanksgiving is certainly a time where we feel we can represent what the Lord wants us to do,” said Kliewer. “We’ll be in the main gym area of Milner Recreation Center. The band will be playing traditional bluegrass gospel songs like ‘I’ll Fly Away’ and I will give a short, uplifting Thanksgiving message.”

Kliewer says everyone is welcome to attend the free Thanksgiving meal at 10:30 a.m. this Sunday, Nov. 14.
