McMinnville’s fiscal 2018-19 budget passed initial review Tuesday, keeping the city’s property tax rate at $2.08.The city Finance Committee met to review departmental budgets and recommend a property tax rate for the upcoming fiscal year. According to committee chair Alderman Everett Brock, the city’s projected cash balance for June 30, 2019 is $2.4 million, but he believes the year will end with an actual cash balance of $5.2 million if history continues to repeat itself. “I went back six years to 2012 and gave us our estimated ending balance and our actual ending balance,” said Brock.
