The Farm to Table dinner held by Main Street McMinnville and the Warren County Farmers Market in July raised enough for donations to two local charities, Meals on Wheels and Families in Crisis.According to Main Street McMinnville executive director Katie Kemezis, organizers had originally planned to use proceeds from the event for a donation to Families in Crisis, which provides a crisis line and shelter services for victims of domestic abuse and their children. However, sold-out ticket sales, the generous support of sponsors, and in-kind support from partnering businesses resulted in enough of a profit to award donations to two charities. For the additional charity, the Farm to Table committee unanimously chose Meals on Wheels for its tireless work providing meals in the community to elderly and disabled individuals. Each charity received a gift of $500 and $500 in Market Money, which can be redeemed at the Warren County Farmers Market. In its second year, the Farm to Table dinner celebrated local farmers and downtown small businesses as they partnered to provide a unique meal featuring local ingredients.
