Willow Branch Health and Rehabilitation is hosting their first ever Family Fun Day for Alzheimer’s in an effort to raise money to benefit local families dealing with the disease.
The fun day will be from this Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Willow Branch located at 415 Pace St.
Jessica Maxwell is hoping everyone can come enjoy the multiple activities going on.
“We are going to have a car show, a bounce house depending on the weather, face painting, and we are going to do hotdog plates and things like that. All the proceeds are going to go to Alzheimer’s TN,” said Maxwell.
Alzheimer’s TN was founded in 1983 and provides family support, offers community and professional education, and advocate for the needs and rights of those with the disease. They also research for its prevention, cure, and treatment. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia and is a progressive, terminal disease that starts in the brain. It destroys memory and thinking skills and will eventually prohibit the ability to do the simplest tasks of daily living.
The Family Fun Day for Alzheimer’s will help raise funds to help make a difference in the lives of people living with the disease and encourage research.
The car show and cruise in is presented by Dixie Deluxe Events. There will also be raffles, a dunk tank, vendors, and more. Everyone is welcome to join Willow Branch for a day of family fun and to support a good cause.
