The McMinnville Driver Testing Center is set to reopen Monday at 8:30 a.m.
The saga of McMinnville’s Driver Testing Center is about to be put in park.After being shut down by the state May 31 amid a state budget surplus, the Driver Testing Center is set to reopen this Monday at 8:30 a.m. It will resume regular business hours Monday thru Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.The center offers driver licenses, ID cards, motor vehicle records, vision testing, knowledge and skills testing, and handgun permits. It’s located across from Warren County High School at 594 Vervilla Road.In order to get the facility reopened, city and county officials are splitting $4,000 a month in rent for the building. The state will pay all other costs such as utilities and employee salaries.A grand reopening ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Monday after the 8:30 a.m. reopening.
