Speculation is local officials are trying to work a deal with the state to return the Driver Testing Center to its previous location across from WCHS on Vervilla Rd.
Driver Testing Center fate in Warren County is still a mystery.The county Budget and Finance Committee met Tuesday to discuss Driver Testing Center funding but the discussion was tabled. According to committee chair Terry Bell, he was contacted by McMinnville Mayor Jimmy Haley and asked to remove the item from the agenda.“I was contacted by Mr. Haley and asked to withdraw this, pending some further investigation and discussion with the state,” said Bell. “He, at first, wanted us to address it.
