Three vehicles collided Tuesday morning at the intersection in front of Three Star Mall.

Details of the Tuesday accident at 9:15 a.m. were provided by McMinnville Police Sgt. Brad Hall.

“A 2014 GMC Envoy driven by Norman McBride, 38, of McMinnville was traveling westbound on Sparta Street,” said Hall, of the motorist heading toward downtown McMinnville. “Two vehicles were stopped at a red light on Mall Drive. When the light changed, they went.”

Leaving the mall’s main entrance, the two vehicles were headed in the direction of the Highway 70S bypass.

“The Envoy ran the traffic light and that’s when all three collided,” said Hall. “They met at the middle of the intersection.”

The Envoy struck a white Nissan pickup driven by Will Romans, 68, and a gold Chevy Malibu driven by Sandra McBride, 64, both of McMinnville.

One injury required transport to Ascension Saint Thomas River Park Hospital for treatment, that being Sandra McBride.

Norman McBride was issued two citations, one for careless driving, and one for failure to provide proof of insurance.
