Accident investigators have determined Asia Smartt was the driver of this overturned Nissan Pathfinder that veered across Manchester Highway on Thursday afternoon and slammed into an oncoming Chevy Cruze occupied by John Winburn and his wife, Deanna Winburn. Mr. Winburn was killed, while Mrs. Winburn, along with Smartt’s passenger, Jay Fults, were injured. Lawmen do not yet know what caused Smartt’s Nissan Pathfinder to veer across the highway and go across the median in the area of McMinnville Funeral Home.
