John Douglass has endured wretched luck with his property next to Hardee’s at 411 West Main Street.It started Aug. 14 when his historic home caught fire and was deemed a complete loss. Days later, investigators determined the fire was the result of arson and set a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible.While Douglass was cleaning up the property with a hired worker in September, he was hit in the head and robbed by that worker. Police have arrested Adam Wirgau, 28, and charged him with aggravated robbery, theft and evading arrest.Now Douglass is facing a new challenge.
